A lone cosmonaut, adrift on a long-forgotten mission, makes a strange discovery on Titan. Glory to the Conquerors of Space was Atomic Cheesecake Productions' first foray into stereoscopic filmmaking. Most of it was filmed in 2006, before the recent resurgence of technical information and equipment for shooting 3D. It was produced while director Ryan Suits was in film school. This film mixes live action footage with thousands of still photos animated for stop motion, hand-painted backgrounds, microphotography, hand-made models, and virtually no computer-generated graphics. While it lacks the technical precision of our more recent work, it serves as an example of the potential for new styles beyond traditional live action and CGI to flourish in stereoscopic cinema. |
